Wedding Centerpieces
When wedding guests first walk into a reception area, one of the first things they notice and comment on are typically the table centerpieces. Wedding centerpieces are one of the major design elements of the reception area. Centerpieces help bring the wedding theme together. Thankfully, nowadays, wedding centerpieces aren’t limited to large floral bouquets. Wedding centerpieces can be customized to look exactly like you want them to, whether that means cascading flowers or three-tier candle arrangements. Wedding centerpieces can be as traditional or modern as you desire!
Before you get started on finding the perfect wedding centerpieces, there are a few guidelines and tips we’d like to share with you.
- Determine a budget for your centerpieces. Some centerpieces, especially large ones, can be rather costly, so analyze how many tables you have and how much you’re willing to spend on this aspect of your wedding. If you find that you’re on a tight budget, this might be a good time to consider putting your own wedding centerpieces together.
- Flowers or no flowers? Fresh flowers, though beautiful and fragrant, can be costly, but there are ways to get lower cost floral arrangements (in season, wholesale pricing, etc.). Determine whether you want flowers on your table, or whether you’d like to go a different route.
- Make sure your wedding centerpieces aren’t blocking your guests’ view. Large centerpieces can be beautiful, but if they’re too large or too wide, your guests won’t be able to see you, or speak to other guests seated at the same table.
- Incorporate something personal. Some of the most loved and praised wedding centerpieces are those that incorporate some special element that celebrates the couple’s relationship. Maybe there’s a charm you can hang off a branch or a certain flower or stone that reminds you of your love. Being too personal is never a bad thing.
These tips are meant to help you get started. However, they aren’t meant to limit your imagination. There is no such thing as the one perfect wedding centerpiece. Your centerpieces are a reflection of a combination of things, including you, your partner, and your wedding’s theme. That being said, we’ve seen a wide variety of jaw-dropping wedding centerpieces. We’ve seen jars, candles, and tea lights, illuminate tables with simple, rustic elegance. We’ve seen glass vases filled with branches and string lights. We’ve seen water and stones incorporated in a multitude of ways inside beautiful glass jars. And of course, we’ve seen tables with cascading flowers; vases that overflow with flower petals.
